MVA with Flyout and House Fire

October 24, 2013 – Fayetteville responded to a mid-afternoon motor vehicle accident with possible entrapment in the area of Burger King on Lincoln Way East.  Deputy Chief 7 arrived on the scene to find two autos with negative entrapment.  One patient was unconscious at the time of arrival and air medical was requested upon the paramedics arrival.  Squad 7, Engine 7-1, and 2 MICU was on the scene with a total of 12 personnel.  Later that evening around 5:35 PM the ‘Ville was out the door again for the house fire in 17’s area at 1678 Cider Press Road.  Deputy Chief 17 arrived on the scene and found fire on the front of the structure and extending into the second floor.  Engine 7-1 arrived as 3rd due and stretched a line to the rear of the structure and assisted with fire attack.  Squad and Engine 7-2 arrived and assisted with salvage and overhaul operations.  Crews cleared in around an hour and a half.
