1st DUE HOUSE FIRE

An unusual situation had members out the door at 3:45 AM to 2349 Black Gap Road for reported auto accident into a house with fire.  Chief 7 (Command) arrived on the scene to find one auto into the house porch with a working house fire.  Engine 7-1 and Deputy Chief 7 (Fire Attack) arrived and advanced attack lines to the first and second floors and with the assistance of Company 13 (Letterkenny Fire Department) made quick work in bringing the fire under control. Crews encountered fire on every floor due to the balloon frame construction  Additional departments assisted with extensive overhaul for the next several hours. The occupant of the vehicle had fled the scene prior to fire department arrival.  All crews cleared shortly before 7 AM.  This makes the 5th working fire in the past week that the Fayetteville Fire Department has responded to.
