DWELLING FIRE
December 30th - On December 26th at approximately 2123 hrs, Squad 7 responded on the dwelling fire to 1671 Rose Hill Ct. in the 44-09 box area. Squad 7 remained on scene and assisted with extinguishment. When units from Station 4 arrived on scene they found a single family dwelling well off. Personnel went to defensive operations due to the amount of fire and stability of the dwelling.
ATTIC FIRE
December 19th - Firefighters were awaken early this morning to 125 Mont Alto Road for the attic fire. Communications alerted the 7-5 box shortly after 0300 hrs. Engine 7-1 arrived on scene with smoke from the eves of the home and requested an operations channel. A/C 7 assumed the command w/ D/C 7 taking care of operations on the interior. Personnel worked for more than an hour to remove blown insulation from the attic area. Cause of the fire is under investigation.
EMSOF GRANT PAYS OFF
December 19th - The FVFD EMS received three new Stryker Power Pro Cots for the ambulances. The Cots were obtained through an EMSOF grant from the EHSF. They are rated at 700 lbs capacity. Thanks to Ryan Elbore again for the work in getting our department the new cots.
DECORATING THE STATION
Career staff and Volunteers worked together to put up a few Christmas decorations around the station for the holidays. Thanks to everyone who helped in this project. Gary Montgomery would be very proud.
FIREFIGHTER MONN
This holiday season lets keep Firefighter Danny Monn in our thoughts and prayers as he is recovering from an automobile accident that occurred on Tuesday 11/25/08. From all of us here at " The Ville " we wish Danny a successful and speedy recovery. You are in our thoughts and prayers !

FATAL AUTO ACCIDENT ON RT 30
December 8th - At 0835 hrs Co 7 was alerted to 2071 LWE for an auto accident. Squad 7, the Micu and one Ambulance responded. Personnel arrived on scene to find one patient in critical condition. Personnel from the Squad assisted the EMS crews in extricating the patient and preparing the patient for transport to the hospital. Squad 7 remained on scene for a short time and went available at 0900. Fire police and PSP closed Rt 30 for approx 2 hrs for reconstruction of the incident.
DWELLING FIRE
November 24th - On November 23rd at 1448 hrs Co 7 received a telephone call to the station reporting a possible attic fire at 10 Coldspring Road in Greene Twp box 7-5. Engine 7-1 responded with four and advised county of the call. Engine 7-1 arrived on scene with smoke showing from the attic area. Capt 7 assumed command until the Deputy Chief arrived. Any visible fire was quickly knocked down. The remainder was found in the walls and ceiling areas around the chimney. Units remained on scene until 1630 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT W/ ONE ON IT'S SIDE
November 22nd - At 0749 this morning Co7 and Squad 41 was alerted for the auto accident at 5312 Cumberland Hwy near Sheetz in Greene Twp. Engine 7-1, 7-2 and the Micu responded. Squad 15 was alerted to fill the box . Sgt 44 arrived on scene with one auto on it's side with no entrapment or confinement. Upon arrival of Co7 apparatus ,Capt 7 advised communications to hold Co 7 and place Squad 15 available.
FATAL ACCIDENT ON I-81
November 22nd - On Nov 21st at approximately 1535 hrs Co7 assisted on the fatal auto accident on interstate 81 near mm 24 South bound. One pickup truck rear ended the back of a tractor trailer leading to the fatality. A sudden white out caused by falling snow perhaps caused this accident to occur.
SIX RUNS FOR FRIDAY
November 8th - On Friday November 7th Co 7 run six calls for the day. Starting at 0724 hrs, Engine 7-1 responded to 6729 Congressional Terrace in Guilford Twp box 5-01 for a smoke detector activation. At 0950 hrs a medical assist call to 3480 Main Street Scotland. An auto accident at 1335 hrs in Greene Twp at 5455 LWE. Engine 7-1, 7-2 and Squad 7 responded to a possible dwelling fire in Guilford Twp box 5-01 at 6146 Green Briar Drive. Squad 7 and Ambulance 7-8 responded to a CO call at 1946 hrs at 221 Perry Road in Greene Twp box 7-5. At 2152 hrs Engine 7-1 responded to an illegal burn call at 929 Fox Meadow Drive in Guilford Twp box 7-4.
TWO WORKING FIRES JUST HOURS APART
November 8th - On Thursday November 6th starting at 0755 communications alerted the 7-7 box for the mobile home fire at 192 North Blackberry Drive in Greene Twp. Engine 7-1 and the Micu arrived on scene and corrected the address to 2491 Hafer Road. Capt 7 established command and held Engine 7-1, Engine 45 and the Micu. Thanks to the EMS crew on duty and Greene Twp personnel on scene. At 1044 hrs Squad 7 and both Engines responded on the working structure fire involving a chicken house at 3115 Keefer Road in Hamilton Twp, box 44-09. Command 44 held Squad 7 for an extended period of time to assist in overhaul operations. Both Engines were released shortly into the incident.

TRACTOR TRAILER ACCIDENT W/ FIRE
AND
AN AUTO ACCIDENT HEAD - ON
November 8th - On Tuesday November 4th at 0446 hrs Squad 7 and the Micu assisted on the tractor trailer fire on Interstate 81 mm 231/2 South bound. The Squad crew assisted Co 15 personnel with extinguishment and overhaul work. The Squad cleared the scene at 0632. Also on Tuesday Squad 7, Engine 7-1, the Micu and an Ambulance responded to an auto accident at the intersection of LWE and Mt Cydonia Road in Greene Twp box 7-5. Personnel assisted EMS crews with patient care and addressed the fluid hazards on scene.

TIS THE SEASON
October 29th - On October 24th, Co7 was alerted for the woods fire at 1892 Black Gap Road in Greene Twp box 7-7. Engine 7-2 and Brush 7 arrived on scene with a fire in field extending into the wooded area. The officer on engine 7-2 requested additional apparatus and personnel which brought an engine from Station 4 and ET14. High winds fanned the fire which caused more work and kept firefighters busy for an extended period of time..

POSSIBLE DWELLING FIRE
October 19th - An early rise on a Sunday morning. At approx 0730 this morning Squad 7 was alerted on the dwelling fire at 2698 Keefer Road in Hamilton Twp box 44-09. Chief 46 arrived on scene with smoke showing and requested a command channel. Squad 7 level two staged. It was determined that they had a chimney fire with extension into the wall. Command 44 held all units for a short time. Squad 7 was released with other units just before 0800.
AUTO ACCIDENT ON LWE
October 16th - On October 14th at 1643 hrs Co7 was alerted for an auto accident at 3680 LWE in Guilford Twp. Ambulance 7-8 and Squad 7 arrived on scene to find two autos involved with one setting in the middle of Rt 30 and the other on Ritchie Road.

AUTO ACCIDENT
October 13th - On Friday October 10th at 1253 hrs Squad 7, the Micu and one Ambulance responded into Guilford Twp to 1950 LWE for the auto accident. Personnel from the Squad and personnel already on the scene assisted EMS and took care of some minor hazards with the autos involved.

October 9th - This is a reminder to everyone. Check the smoke detectors in YOUR HOME.. Change the batteries. Be sure they are working properly and if you have Carbon Monoxide alarms, check those too.
GUARDIANS OF THE RIBBON
Sept 25th - The pink fire truck that is touring the country promoting breast cancer awareness unfortunately will NOT be able to visit our area at this time.
ANOTHER SET OF TWINS
Sept 23rd - Another set of twins arrived in "The Ville" today. Two 2008 Ford E-350 extended vans with braun conversions and an executive roof. Capable of hauling three wheelchairs at once or one wheelchair and one stretcher combined. The vans were purchased through Rohrer Bus Sales. The vans are in service and available upon request.
GUARDIANS OF THE RIBBON
Sept 21st - During the Fire Chiefs visit to the National Fire Academy on Sept 14-19th for training, he obtained a few photos that he would like to share with everyone. For those of you who haven't seen this. There is a Firefighter driving a PINK fire engine across the United States making several stops along the way bringing awareness about breast cancer to everyone he comes in contact with. There is a website you may visit as well. It is www.pinkribbontour.com If their schedule permits, I have asked them to stop in the area on there way to Ohio this week. I will post this information if it will happen as quickly as possible. There is also a photo of the Huge Firefighter Statue from 911.

AUTO ACCIDENT / FIRE
Sept 21st - On Saturday Sept 20th at 0234 hrs, Co7 was dispatched to 2048 Black Gap Road in Greene Twp box 7-7 for an auto accident with entrapment. Communications advised the units responding that they had one auto into a utility pole with possible entrapment and the auto was on fire. A firefighter from Co7 arrived on scene before the apparatus and advised communications by cell phone that he had one auto completely involved in fire into a utility pole. Unsure if the patient was in the auto at this time. Personnel quickly extinguished the fire and found no one in the auto. Personnel searched for a patient and found no one in the area. Co7 cleared the scene at 0345 hrs.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ENTRAPMENT
Sept 21st - On Sept 18th at 0823 hrs, Squad 7, Micu 7-8 and Station 4 Engine 45 responded to an auto accident with entrapment at the 300 Blk of Ragged Edge Road in Guilford Twp box 7-1. Personnel found two autos involved and one patient confined. Due to the extent of injuries to the patient, the roof was removed to get the patient out of the auto. The patient was then air lifted to a hospital out of the area. Squad7 cleared the scene at 0947 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ENTRAPMENT
Sept 21st - On Sept 14th at 2219 hrs Squad 7, Engine 7-1 and Micu 7-8 responded to an auto accident with entrapment at 5838 Mt Pleasant Road in Greene Twp. Micu 7-8 and Deputy Chief 7 arrived on scene to find one auto off the road with one class 4 patient still in the auto. Personnel remained on scene for some time while the Franklin County Coroner performed their investigation. Co 7 cleared the scene at 0020 hrs.
NEW TRANSPORT VAN UPDATE
Sept 12th - New transport vans and building renovations for the FVFD are starting to take shape. EMS Chief Elborne took a trip to Rohr Bus Sales to finalize some things and to capture a few photos. Some building renovations are also under way and nearing completion to accommodate the new vans. New windows and some other small modifications are being done to help save energy and reduce heating costs over the winter months.
LADDER TRAINING
Sept 12th - Senior members and Junior members learn the basics as they properly position and throw ground ladders at the fire station for training Tuesday evening.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ENTRAPMENT
Sept 1st - On Saturday 8/30/08, Squad 7 and the Micu responded to an auto accident with entrapment on Rocky Mt Road South in South Mountain. Personnel from the Squad assisted in extrication and provided additional lighting on scene.

WORKING FIRE INVOLVING ROLLS OF RUBBER
August 26th - On Sunday August 24th, Communications alerted Station 4 and Co 7 for a tractor trailer on fire North Bound at exit 20. Co 7 arrived on scene to find the incident just North of exit 20 and had a working fire involving a trailer full of rolled rubber. Co 7 arrived on scene and knocked down the fire quickly leaving a lot needing overhauled. Personnel remained on scene for several hours until the job was complete.
BUILDING FIRE
August 26th - On Friday August 22nd, Squad 7 assisted on the building fire in Marion on Colorado Street Ext. in Guilford Twp. Personnel assisted with extinguishment and overhaul operations until placed available by command 8.

EMS AWARD
On August 15th, The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department EMS service was recognized by the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council for AMBULANCE SERVICE OF THE YEAR Career staff and President Bumbaugh attended an awards luncheon at the PEHSC conference in Hershey. This award is given to a service that contributes to the growth and development of EMS in Pennsylvania and serves as an example for Pennsylvania's Ambulance Services. CONGRATULATIONS TO THE CAREER STAFF FOR THIS PRESTIGIOUS ACHIEVEMENT.

AUTO ACCIDENT W/ HEAVY ENTRAPMENT
August 18th - Early Sunday morning on 8/17/08 at 0359 hrs, personnel were dispatched for the auto accident on Spring Road in Guilford Twp. Squad 7, Micu 7-9 and Engine 7-2 responded and arrived on scene to find one auto into a utility pole with one class four patient heavily entrapped in the auto. Personnel remained on scene for several hours while the state police and coroners office did their work on scene. Personnel then went to work extricating the victim from the auto. Squad 7 and Engine 7-2 went available at 0753.
ENGINE AND MICU AT THE PARADE IN PATH VALLEY
August 18th - Engine 7-1 brought home third place best appearing engine at the parade in Path Valley on Thursday evening 8/14/08. Thanks to Assistant Chief Ulrich, Captain Anderson, Mike Kriner, Matt Etter and Tyler Everson for their time and hard work at cleaning the engine and getting ready for the parade. Micu 7-9 also attended the parade and unfortunately didn't bring home any trophies. Thanks to Pat Heller and Liz Kiser for their time and hard work at cleaning the Micu.

NEW AED PLACED IN SERVICE
Through a grant from the Emergency Health Services Federation Fayetteville now has a much needed AED in the social hall building . In the event of a sudden cardiac arrest, this device is available. It is located in the entry foyer and is also equipped with a pocket mask. The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department would like to thank the EHSF for the grant and to Joel Hocking of V.E Ralph Inc. for providing training on the device. Also, lets thank EMS Chief Ryan Elborne for getting this AED for our social hall.
SKID LOADER ON FIRE IN THE BARN
August 8th - Firefighters were alerted for a barn fire in the 7-5 box after midnight at 2183 Anthony Hwy in Guilford Twp. Ambulance 7-8 arrived on scene reporting a working fire back a very long farm lane. Engine 5-1 and Engine 7-1 was going to split the lay when the Captain advised to hold off. Captain 7 arrived on scene and assumed command. He advised communications that he had a skid loader on fire in the barn. Fire Department personnel put a knocked down the fire and the owner quickly removed the skid loader from the barn leaving the barn unharmed. Command held Co 5 and 7 and placed the rest in service.

August 4th - Another successful year at the Franklin County Junior Member Training Camp. From "The Ville" were junior members Brady Bumbaugh, Kelsey Baker and Tyler West. The Officer's and members of the FVFD would like to congratulate all of the junior members that participated in the 2008 training camp. We wish you all the very best in the future.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ROLL OVER AND ONE PATIENT CONFINED
August 4th - On Sunday Aug 3rd at 1646 hrs, Squad 7, the Micu and one BLS unit along with Engine 43 responded to 4752 Cumberland Hwy in Greene Twp for an auto accident involving roll over. The vehicle was over the embankment into a field. Personnel extricated one patient from the vehicle and assisted with getting the patient up the embankment to the Micu. Units went available at 1725 hrs.

VACANT HOUSE WELL OFF
July 29th - Early Saturday morning July 26th at 0113 hrs, communications alerted the 7-3 box for the house fire in the 4000 Blk of White Church Road in Greene Twp. Engine 7-1 arrived on scene with most of the house heavily involved in fire. Upon arrival, Captain 7 advised exterior operations only. After further investigation, it was found that the stairways and floor areas of this house was already burned out and the structure was unsafe for anyone to enter. Personnel operated on the scene until after 0400 hrs.

June 19th - Thanks to all of the people from the community who attended the Father's Day Dinner on Sunday June 15th. The dinner was another successful one and we served over 500 guests. Also a special thank you goes out to the members who helped make this day successful as well.
APARTMENT BLDG FIRE
June 19th - On Monday June 9th at approximately 1445 hrs Squad 7 responded to the Boro of Chambersburg with 4 personnel to assist on the apartment bldg fire at 699 Broad Street. Squad 7's crew stretched an attack line into the attack of the exposure bldg to extinguish fire that had got in through the overhang on the B-C corner of the bldg from the fire bldg. After extinguishing the fire, hydraulic ventilation was performed out the attic window on side B over the fire bldg. After taking a break personnel assisted with overhaul ops in the fire bldg. Squad 7 went available at 1858 hrs.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ONE INTO A TREE
May 21st - At 0608 this morning Micu 7-8, Squad 7 and Engine 7-1 responded into Greene Twp to the 1200 Blk of the Black Gap Road for an auto accident. Micu 7-8 went on scene with two autos involved and one into a tree. Personnel applied absorbent to a fluid leak from one of the vehicles while EMS assessed patients for injuries. No patients were transported. Co 7 went available at 0630.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ENTRAPMENT
May 21st - On Monday May 19th at 1617 Squad 7 and Micu 7-8 responded into Guilford Twp to Mont Alto Road and Penn National Drive for the auto accident with entrapment in Co 5's area. Command 5 reported one class 4 patient and other patients trapped in vehicles. Personnel extricated the patients and assisted EMS with patient care. Two patients were flown out to other hospitals and the rest were transported by ambulance to local area hospitals.

WATER RESCUE
May 21st - On Monday May 19th at 1152 Squad 7 and Micu 7-8 responded into Adams Cty at the Long Pine Reservoir for reported water rescue, capsized boat. Personnel arrived on scene and found that the patients had already been rescued by another boater. Units were available 1311.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH CONFINEMENT
May 21st - On Monday May 19th at 0710 Squad 7, Micu 7-8 and Engine 17-1 responded to the auto accident at the intersection of New Lane and Bikle Road in the 7-5 box area. Two autos were involved , one with confinement. D/C 7 had command and personnel assisted EMS with patient removal and went available at 0814.

MAINTENANCE WORK
May 21st - On Tuesday May 13th, Contractors worked at Valley National Gases on the 30,000 gallon propane tank. They worked on emptying the tank so they could do maintenance work inside of the tank. One call to the 911 center for an outside investigation lead the fire dept to respond.

AUTO ACCIDENT
May 18th - On May 16th at 1346 hrs Squad 7, Engine 7-1,Micu 7-8, Ambulance 7-9 and Ambulance 7-7 responded in Greene Twp to the intersection of Knob Hill Road and Black Gap Road for an auto accident. Personnel arrived on scene to find one auto off the road with extensive damage to the passenger side and a tractor trailer partially off the roadway just a few yards away. Three patients were taken to Chambersburg Hospital for treatment. Air medical was requested but was unable to fly due to bad weather. Co 7 was available at 1418 hrs. Units returned to the incident scene later to stand by while the state police did a reconstruction of the accident scene and for the gas leak from the auto involved.

May 16th - Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Kyler family. Lee was admitted into the Chambersburg Hospital approximately a week ago with some health problems. The Officer's, Members and Career Staff wish Lee a speedy recovery. Get well soon.

MOTHER'S DAY IN THE VILLE A HUGE SUCCESS
May 16th - Thanks to all FVFD members and those non-members who put a lot of countless hours and hard work into making the Mother's Day Dinner a huge success. A Special Thank You to everyone who came to the FVFD for the Mother's Day Dinner. We served just shy of 600 people and had to turn away approx 100 more after running out of dinners.
AUTO ACCIDENT ON THE I
May 1st - An early evening auto accident claims the life of one and left others injured Southbound on the I in the area of the 18 mile marker in Greene Twp. Co7 and Sta 4 personnel responded to the accident scene to find one auto on the roadway and one auto off the roadway with accident victims trapped under one of the autos. A helicopter transported one patient away from the scene.

THUNDERSTORMS BROUGHT SEVERAL RUNS
TO FD PERSONNEL
April 26th - After a beautiful day with temperatures reaching 80 degrees thunderstorms and heavy rains hit the area which caused many departments to run several calls. Squad 7 started by running to 600 Miller Street at the Open Door Church in the 44-09 box area for a possible building fire, then Co7 personnel run an automatic alarm to 2063 LWE at the St Mary's Orthodox Church in Guilford Twp, Squad 7 was alerted for the lightening strike at 325 Phoenix Drive in the Boro of Chambersburg, and Squad 7 was also alerted for the water rescue on Grandpoint Road in Greene Twp.
STRUCTURAL BURN TRAINING
April 26th - On Tuesday April 22nd at 1800 hrs, Co7 personnel with Engine 7-1 and Co5 personnel with Engine Tanker 5 visited the FCFCA training center for structural burn training. Personnel trained for 2 1/2 hours on the proper techniques for advancing handlines into the building and extinguishing fires. Thanks to Air 10 for supplying the breathing air and to the facilitator for assisting us that evening.
AUTO OVERTURNED
April 12th - Just after 2130 hrs Squad 7 and Micu 7-8 responded into Adams county on the Pine Grove Road to assist with an auto accident reported with a vehicle overturned and a patient trapped under the vehicle. Personnel arrived on scene to find no patient trapped and assisted EMS crews with patient care.

FINALLY , THE TWINS ARE IN SERVICE
April 12th - Both of the new ambulances are in service now and are running great. 7-8 has been in service approximately two weeks and 7-9 approximately a week.
AUTO OVERTURNED WITH EJECTION.
April 4th - On Wednesday April 2nd at 1154 hrs Squad 7,Micu 7-8 and Engine 17-1 responded to 427 Skelly Road in Guilford Twp for an auto accident reported with ejection. Personnel arrived on scene to find one vehicle overturned with the patient ejected from the auto. The patient had to be air lifted from the scene,. Engine 17-1 was used at the LZ site. Personnel from the Squad took care of some fluid spills and assisted EMS . Squad 7 was available at 1314 hrs.

NEW AMBULANCES ARE BEING PLACED INTO SERVICE
April 3rd - There here, the new ambulances are at the fire station. Ambulance 7-8 was placed into service on Tuesday April 1, 2008. Ambulance 7-9 is expected to be placed into service by Friday April 4, 2008 if all goes as planned. The career staff has put countless hours into getting the tasks done to get the new ambulances into service as quickly as possible. A huge Thank You is in order to all of the persons who have participated in this adventure. A special Thanks to EMS Chief Ryan Elborne for seeing the tasks through. Another job well done by the career staff of the FVFD.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER
April 3rd - Congratulations to Firefighter Williams of the FVFD for obtaining his new EMT certification. Firefighter Williams graduated at the top of his class.
APARTMENT BUILDING FIRE
March 21st - At 0702 hrs this morning Engine 7-1 responded on a transfer into the Boro of Chambersburg and just after dispatch was alerted to assist on the apartment building fire. Engine 7-1 was available at 0736.

SHED FIRE
March 21st - On Wednesday March 19th at 1740 hrs Engine 7-2, Squad 7, Ambulance 7-8 and Engine 7-1 from Station 4 responded to 2130 LWE in Guilford Twp for a shed fire next to the dwelling. D/C 7 arrived on scene with a working fire involving the shed only. Chief 7 requested additional apparatus to level two stage at Guilford Elementary School. The fire was knocked down with no extension to the home. The box was down graded holding Co 7, Truck 17 and ET 14. Units were available at 1840 hrs.

ANOTHER UPDATE ON THE NEW AMBULANCES
March 21st - Personnel are going to VCI to pick up the new ambulances which will be at the station on the 27th of March, probably very late in the day.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH FLUID SPILL
March 21st - On Saturday March 8th at 1512 hrs Co 7 units responded to an auto accident in the 5000 Blk of LWE in Greene Twp. Personnel took care of a minor fluid spill and went available.

UPDATE ON THE NEW AMBULANCES
March 7th - The new ambulances are tentatively scheduled to arrive at the station around the 24th or 25th of March. At this time they are at VCI Emergency Vehicle Specialist for lettering.
AUTO ACCIDENT
March 7th - On March 6th at 0635 hrs Squad 7, Ambulance and Medic from Co7 and Engine 15-1 responded to the 5300 Blk of the White Church Road in Greene Twp for an auto accident. Personnel arrived on scene to find one auto off the roadway with a utility pole sheared off. Personnel assisted the EMS crew in removing the patient from the auto and into the ambulance and went available.

ALMOST DONE
February 29th - Members visited VCI on the 28th of February to inspect and approve the two new ambulances of the FVFD. While there, we took a few photos for your viewing pleasure. Both ambulances should be delivered within the next two weeks.
NEW LICENSES
February 29th - New certification and licenses for EMS units and Squad 7. Squad 7 is now QRS certified. Thanks to EMS Chief Ryan Elborn for taking care of these certifications and Licenses.
A PLOW TRUCK AND AN ATV
February 22nd - At 1302 hrs Squad 7, Chief 7 and the Micu responded to the 700 blk of the Brookens Road in Greene Twp for reported auto accident involving a plow truck and an ATV. During response communications advised that there were no injuries and no FD services were needed. Chief 7 then placed all units available
FOUR CALLS FOR THE DAY
February 22nd - On Wednesday February 20th Co 7 personnel ran four incidents for the day. At 1048 hrs for the AFA at 735 Tristan Trail in Greene Twp, at 1358 hrs to 3783 MontAlto Road for the auto accident in Guilford Twp box 5-01, at 1608 hrs to the 1800 blk of the Black Gap Road for the auto accident and yet another auto accident at 1632 hrs in Greene Twp in the 900 blk of Coldspring Road.
NEW AMBULANCES
January 31st - Two new Ambulances are on the assembly line at Horton and looking good. We expect delivery by the end of February or in March.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ONE TRAPPED
January 31st - On January 25th at approx 0054 hrs Co7 and Squad 41 responded to the 2700 Blk of the Black Gap Road in Greene Twp for an auto accident with possible entrapment. Personnel arrived on scene and had two autos that hit head on with one trapped in a pickup truck. Co7 personnel worked with the portable Hurst unit off Engine 7-1 to free the patient. Squad 41 personnel arrived on scene and then assisted with the remainder of the extrication. and assisted with patient removal to Stat 12 an LZ established on scene. Units cleared the scene at approx 0256.

AUTO ACCIDENT ON THE I
January 21st - On Jan.18th at approx 1840 hrs, Co 7 and Sta 4 personnel responded to interstate 8-1 in the area of the 19 mile marker for an auto accident involving a tractor trailer and two autos. One patient had to be air lifted from the incident scene. Interstate 81 was shut down in both directions for an extended period of time until the debri was gathered up and Dave's truck could hook up to the tractor trailer for removal. Units went available approx 1930 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT
January 17th - On Jan.18th at 1700 hrs, Co 7 units responded to 3055 Black Gap Road in Greene Twp for an auto accident. Personnel arrived to find two autos involved in the intersection at the entrance to the mall.

AUTO ACCIDENT W/ ENTRAPMENT & DUMP TRUCK OVERTURNED
January 17th - On Wednesday Jan.16th at 1244 Co7 responded to the 2000 Blk of Black Gap Road for an auto accident reported dump truck overturned on an auto. D/C 7 arrived on scene to find a dump truck overturned blocking the roadway

MOBILE HOME FIRE
January 17th - On Wednesday Jan. 16th at 0955 Engine 7-1 and Squad 7 responded to 2350 Lindsay Lot Road in Southampton Twp for a working mobile home fire. Personnel assisted with extinguishment and overhaul operations. Co7 went available at 1139.

January 17th - On Tuesday Jan. 15th at 1754, Co7 responded to an auto accident at 1730 LWE in Guilford Twp. Personnel assisted EMS and checked vehicles for hazards. Units went available at 1831.
SMOKE IN THE BUILDING
January 17th - On Monday Jan.14th at 0955, Engine 7-1and D/C 7 responded to 1710 LWE at the Pet Store for smoke in the building. D/C 7 investigated and found smoke in the hallway that connects multiple stores. Further investigation found a cigarette bucket in the hallway of the building. D/C 7 down graded the box and held Co7. Units went available at 1020.

ONE AUTO INTO A UTILITY POLE
January 17th - On Monday Jan.14th at 0817 Co7 responded to the 4700 Blk of the White Church Road for an auto accident. Personnel arrived on scene to find one auto into a utility pole with no injuries. Co 7 was available 0834.

STATE FIRE GRANT AWARDED
January 13th - The Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded a total of $32,070.06 from the Pennsylvania State Fire Commission. $22,100.77 for Fire, towards the upgrade of the Hurst Tool equipment on Squad 7 and $9,969.29 for EMS, towards the purchase of one new Ambulance.
AUTO ACCIDENT
January 11th - At 1628 Co 7 was dispatched for an auto accident at 4230 LWE in Guilford Twp, reported one auto on fire and with entrapment. Pryor to arrival, the fire was extinguished and the patient self extricated. Co 7 went available at 1648.

FARMING ACCIDENT
January 5th - At 1942 Squad 7 responded into Guilford Twp, 2249 Newcomer Road for a farming accident, reported child run over by a small tractor. Squad 7 was placed available by Chief 17 at 1951 hrs.
DWELLING FIRE
January 5th - At 1641 hrs Engine 7-1 and 7-2 responded into Guilford Twp at 2341 Falling Spring Road box 17-7 for a dwelling fire. Engine 7-1 was the FIRST arriving engine and dropped the 5" at the end of the driveway. Engine 7-2 was NEXT in and picked up the supply line. The fire was found and contained to the roof of the the residence and was being extinguished prior to arrival of the FD by past Fire Chief 17 (Thomas.) Command 17 held Co 7 and 17 for a short time and returned the rest. Co 7 went available at 1748.
EMT CLASS AT THE VILLE
January 5th - Fayetteville Volunteer Fire Department and West End Fire Rescue combine efforts to assist with Pa Institute of Applied Health Sciences EMT class extrication session. Students were given several scenarios throughout the day. Instructors Ryan Elborn and Jeff Coombe would like to thank everyone from all entities involved with the day. Extrication class at the Ville was a success. Thanks to everyone who participated in the days event.
AUTO ACCIDENT
January 3rd - On Jan 2nd D/C 7, Squad 7, Engine 7-1 and Ambulance 7-8 responded into Greene Twp, the 5300 block of the White Church Road for an auto accident. Personnel arrived on scene and found one auto off of the roadway into some brush and trees. Personnel assisted the ems crews in removing two patients and packaging.
