FIRE IN THE TOWNHOUSE
DECEMBER 23rd- Just after 1700 hrs on December 20th, Engine 7-2 and Engine 7-1 responded into Guilford Twp, Box 44-01 at 468 Mower Road for reported stove on fire in the structure. A/C 49 arrived on scene to find light smoke showing from side A of a town house. He requested an upgrade of the box assignment. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene side A & B, made a connection to a hydrant in front of the townhouse and stretched an attack line into the structure. Engine 43 and Truck 42 arrived on scene and took a position also on side A. Remaining units staged. Upon further investigation, fire was contained to the stove and area around the stove. A/C 49 reduced the assignment and Co 7 units went available approximately 1730 hrs.

THE ICE STORM BROUGHT MANY CALLS TO OUR VOLUNTEERS AND CAREER STAFF
DECEMBER 16th- Today started out as a very busy day. The ice storm that swept through the area has taken down many trees, and power lines. Personnel from Co 7 and many others from around the area kept busy running emergency calls throughout the early morning hours. Co 7 personnel ran an auto accident on I-81 at the 19 mile marker, several wires calls on Mt Pleasant Road, East Main Street Fayetteville, 7600 Blk of LWE, Anthony Hwy and Trees on a house on Houser Road just to name a few. With temperatures on the rise, personnel may finally get a well deserved break.
AUT0 FIRE ON THE I
DECEMBER 12th- December 9th brought two runs for the Ville. At 1928, Squad 7, Engine 7-2 and Ambulance 7-8 responded to a reported auto on fire on I 81 in the area of mile marker 18 North Bound. The officer from Sta 4 arrived on scene and requested to hold Sta 4 only. Co 7 units went available at 1936. At 0507 Squad 7 responded to the reported barn fire on Sollenberger Road in Hamilton Twp. Sta 4 arrived with an auto well involved, not a barn. Squad 7 went available at 0511.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH CONFINEMENT
DECEMBER 12th- On December 8th at 1158, Squad 7 and the Micu responded to Overhill Drive in Guilford Twp for an auto accident with possible confinement. Personnel arrived to confirm the dispatch. Personnel assisted EMS and worked to free the patients. Units went available at 1213 hrs.

FOUR RUNS FOR THE DAY
DECEMBER 12th- Friday December 7th brought four calls for the day. At 0438, Engine 7-2, Squad 7 and Ambulance 7-8 responded to the 6400 Blk of LWE in Greene Twp for a tractor trailer fire. Chief 7 arrived on scene with a working fire involving the rear tires on the tractor. Engine 7-2 arrived and personnel quickly extinguished the fire. Fire police assisted with directing traffic around the incident scene. Units went available at 0513. At 0630, Squad 7 responded to the chimney fire on Sollenberger Road in Hamilton Twp with Sta 4. Squad 7 arrived on scene and staged. Within minutes command held Sta 4 and released all others. At 1203, Engine 7-1, 7-2, Squad 7 and Ambulance 7-8 responded to 3301 LWE for the AFA. Units went available at 1212. At 2020, Squad 7 responded the intersection of LWE and Ragged Edge Road for an auto accident. Units went available at 2104.

POSSIBLE BRUSH FIRE ON THE I
DECEMBER 4th- At 1500 hrs today, Engine 7-2 and Brush 7 responded to interstate 81 between MM 16 and 18 for reported brush fire along side the roadway. D/C 7 and Engine 43 was in the area and could find nothing. D/C 7 requested Co 7 units to check the area North of MM 20. Personnel found nothing and D/C 7 placed all units available.
AUTO ACCIDENT ON LINCOLN WAY
DECEMBER 4th- Just after 1400 hrs today, Squad 7, Engine 7-2 and Ambulance 7-8 responded into Guilford Twp to the 1800 Blk of LWE for reported accident. Squad 7 with D/C 7 arrived on scene and advised property damage only. Chief 7 then placed the Box available.
AUTO ACCIDENT ON THE I
DECEMBER 4th- On December 3rd at 2307 hrs Co 7 and 15 responded to interstate 81 in the area of MM 23 for an auto accident with roll over. Squad 15 and D/C 7 arrived on scene with one auto involved and patients outside the vehicle. D/C 7 held Squad 15 and the Ambulances from 7 and 73 and Medic 84 and placed Squad 7 and 7-2 available at 2320 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH CONFINEMENT
DECEMBER 4th- On December 3rd at 1116 hrs Squad 7 and Micu 7-9 responded to the 5600 Blk of LWE in Greene Twp for an auto accident involving one vehicle rolled over and with confinement. Captain 7 requested Squad 41 to assist with man power. Engine 17-1 assisted with the LZ. Units cleared the scene at 1142 hrs.
WIRES DOWN
DECEMBER 4th- On December 3rd at 0808 hrs Squad 7 and Brush 7 responded into Greene Twp to the 3800 Blk of Main Street Scotland for wires. Personnel on scene requested fire police to shut down the traffic in the area on Main Street. Units went available at 0900.
FURNACE FIRE
DECEMBER 4th- On December 2nd at 1220 hrs Engine 7-1 responded to into Guilford Twp at 5642 LWE for reported a furnace on fire inside a dwelling. A/C 7 arrived on scene side A with normal conditions and took interior Ops, while Chief 7 arrived on scene with command. All responding units were advised to level two stage in the parking lot of the Rite Spot Motel with the exception of Truck 42 and 7-1. A/C 7 quickly corrected the problem and units were advised to go in service. Co 7 went available at 1241.
AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ONE TRAPPED
DECEMBER 4th- On December 1st at 1334 hrs Squad 7, Engine 7-1 and the Micu responded to the intersection of Black Gap Road and White Church Road in Greene Twp Box 7-7 for reported auto accident with possible entrapment. Personnel arrived on scene to find one patient trapped behind the steering wheel of a vehicle. The two vehicles had apparently collided head-on. Personnel worked on scene several minutes to free the patient who was trapped. Units went available from this incident at 1400.

ELECTRICAL FIRE INSIDE
DECEMBER 4th- On December 1st at 1221 hrs Engine 7-1 responded to Fairway Drive in Penn National, Guilford Twp for an inside investigation of a possible electrical fire. D/C 5 had all units level one stage until the source was found. 7-1 went available at 1252.
MOUNTAIN FIRE ON THE OLD FORGE
DECEMBER 4th- On November 30th at 1459 hrs Engine 7-1 and Brush 7 responded to the 5200 Blk Of the Old Forge Road for a mountain fire. Personnel assisted in the extinguishment of the fire and went available at 1559.

INSIDE INVESTIGATION
DECEMBER 4th- On November 29th at 2352 hrs Engine 7-1 and Squad 7 responded to 2430 Orion Drive in Greene Twp Box 7-3 for an inside investigation. Personnel found a faulty air deodorizer ( plug In ) to be the cause. Units went available at 0032 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT IN THE 7-6 BOX
NOVEMBER 28th- At 1516 hrs Co 7 was dispatched to the 8500 Blk of LWE, Greene Twp for an auto accident involving a tractor trailer and an auto with reported entrapment. Units arrived on scene with a vehicle off of the roadway into the trees with negative entrapment. D/C 7 had requested the response of Station 4 apparatus from the 1600 Blk of LWE to assist. Sta 4 had been operating at a motorcycle accident prior to responding to the accident in the 7-6 box. Units cleared the scene at 1540.

ANOTHER AUTO ACCIDENT NEAR BK
NOVEMBER 28th- On Monday November 26th at 0803 hrs Co 7 was dispatched to the 1900 Blk of LWE, Guilford Twp in the area of Burger King for another auto accident. Units cleared the incident at 0832.

AUTO ACCIDENT IN THE 7-2 BOX
NOVEMBER 24th- At 0520 hrs this morning Co 7 personnel was alerted to an auto accident in the 7-2 box area in Greene Twp at 5263 Cumberland Hwy. One auto went off of the roadway and sheared off a utility pole, which was lying partially in the roadway and with very low hanging wires, it was sure to cause traffic problems for several hours to follow.
APPARATUS UPDATE 2
NOVEMBER 24th- Engine 7-2 has returned to service. The Fierce Pierce couple has both successfully passed their pump tests and DOT inspections, ready to roll. Also the rear compartment door of 7-2 has been done like Engine 7-1 in the photo below.
APPARATUS UPDATE 1
NOVEMBER 16th- Pump testing and service work on Engines 7-1 and 7-2 are near completion. Both Engines are also having the rear compartment striped and re-numbered for safety. Also, both engines are being DOT inspected for the safety of all personnel and the people we share the highways with.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ONE ON IT'S ROOF
NOVEMBER 16th- At 0953 hrs on November 15th Engine 7-2 and Squad 7 responded to 2219 Mont Alto Road in Guilford Twp to assist Co 5 on an auto accident with a vehicle rollover. Units cleared the scene at 1016.

DWELLING FIRE
NOVEMBER 16th- Just after 10 pm on November 14th communications dispatched units into the 7-5 box area to 65 East Main Street in Fayetteville for a dwelling fire. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene with smoke showing. Chief 7 arrived on scene with command and D/C 7 assumed interior operations. A small fire located in a laundry room to the rear of the residence was contained to the area of origin. Command held Co7, Truck 42, ET 14 and Engine 17-2 on scene to complete the overhaul operation.

ONE AUTO OVER THE EMBANKMENT
NOVEMBER 12th- On Sunday November 11th at 2214 hrs Squad 7, Engine 7-2 and Micu 7-7 responded into Guilford Twp to the 1300 Blk of Ragged Edge Road for an auto accident, reported one vehicle over the embankment. D/C 7 arrived on scene and confirmed dispatch. Squad 7 and the Micu was held on scene to assist the patients up the embankment. Engine 7-2 was placed available. Squad 7 went available at 2232.
ANOTHER AUTO WELL OFF
NOVEMBER 12th- On Sunday November 11th at 1157 hrs Engine 7-2 responded into Greene Twp at 1043 Black Gap Road for a working auto fire. Engine 7-2 went on scene with a Ford well off along the roadway. Personnel did a great job extinguishing the fire. Engine 7-2 went available at 1245.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ONE TRAPPED
NOVEMBER 12th- On Sunday November 11th at 0705 hrs Squad 7 responded to 313 Main Street in the Boro of Mont Alto, box area 5-04 for an auto accident with entrapment. Personnel assisted on the scene extricating the patient and checking the residence for structural damage. Squad 7 went available at 0805 hrs.

AUTO WELL OFF
NOVEMBER 12th- On Saturday November 10th at 0957 hrs Engine 7-2 and an Ambulance responded into Guilford Twp at 1768 LWE for an auto fire. The ambulance arrived on the scene first reporting a working fire with the auto approximately 20 ft from the structure. Sta 4 was dispatched to fill the local assignment and then Engine 7-2 went responding with two personnel. Sta 4 was held and the box was upgraded. D/C 7 arrived on scene and assumed command and held the Engine from 7 and Sta 4 and returned the rest. Units went available at 1057 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT
NOVEMBER 8th- At 1508 hrs Squad 7, Ambulance 7-7 and Medic 102 responded into Greene Twp in the 7800 Blk of LWE for an auto accident. The ambulance crew requested air medical to the scene. Personnel had a minor extrication job to assist EMS in removing one of the patients from an auto. Engine 5-1 was dispatched to the water treatment center along LWE for the LZ. Units cleared the scene at 1547 hrs. Earlier in the day, Engine 7-2 responded into Greene Twp at 5239 Heisey Road for wires arching to the rear of a residence. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene and personnel investigated. Allegheny Power was contacted, home owners were notified and Engine 7-2 went available.
AUTO FIRE
NOVEMBER 2nd- On November 1st at 2245, Engine 7-2, Squad 7 and an Ambulance responded to Stillhouse Hollow Road in Greene Twp Box 7-3 for an auto fire. Communications advised the units responding that the auto was suppose to be located about one mile of White Church Road. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene with one auto well off. Units cleared the scene at 2336 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT
NOVEMBER 2nd- On Thursday November 1st at 0511, Squad 7 and Micu 7-9 responded to 6374 Chambersburg Road in Adams County Box 27-7 for an auto accident. Personnel found two vehicle involved with one vehicle into a utility pole. Squad 7 went available at 0700.
REPORTED SMOKE IN A HOUSE
NOVEMBER 2nd- On October 28th at 2003, communications dispatched units to 1550 Walker Road in Guilford Twp Box 7-1 for smoke in a house. Personnel found a light smoke condition throughout the home and discovered a faulty damper was the cause. Personnel set up positive pressure ventilation during the investigation for smoke removal. Units went available at 2042.
WORKING HOUSE FIRE
NOVEMBER 2nd- On October 28th, at 0627 , Engine 7-2 responded to 1126 Mainsville Road in Southampton Twp, Box 15-3 for a working dwelling fire. Co 15 personnel put a excellent stop to a working situation. Engine 7-2 went available at 0710.

NOVEMBER 2nd- On October 27th at 2020, Co 7 units responded to an auto accident at 1618 Anthony Hwy in Greene Twp Box 7-5. Personnel found two autos involved with one into a utility pole. Units cleared the scene at 2115 hrs.

AUTO ACCIDENT WITH ROLLOVER
OCTOBER 21st- At 0845, Squad 7, Engine 7-2 and Micu 7-9 responded into Guilford Twp to 975 Wilkson Lane for an auto accident with possible roll over. Squad 7 reported that one vehicle had apparently rolled over and was back on it's wheels. Personnel assisted the ambulance crew with one patient. Micu 7-9 transported one patient to Chambersburg Hospital and Squad 7 and Engine 7-2 were available at 0903.
SMOKE IN THE HOUSE
OCTOBER 21st- On October 17th at 1508 hrs, Engine 7-2 responded to 34 Reynolds Ave in the Boro of Mont Alto for reported smoke in a house. D/C 5 went on scene with smoke showing. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene and was requested to set up positive pressure ventilation on side A. Upon further investigation into the cause, a crystal ball setting on a window sill was the cause. The sunlight coming through the window was reflected through the ball and caused some material under it to catch fire and melt down the radio and cause the window sill to burn as well. Personnel assisted co 5 in loading their supply line back on 5-1 and went available.

ANOTHER BARN FIRE
OCTOBER 13th- At 1115 hrs, communications dispatched units to a barn fire in Guilford Twp at 1215 Mont Alto Road. Engine 7-2 responded with three personnel and arrived on scene with a working fire. High winds were a major factor in the end result of today's fire. Water supply was established utilizing two hydrants, one in Duffield and one on Mont Alto Road at B&B roofing. Units cleared the scene at 1430.
REPORTED BUILDING FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - At 0001 hrs communications dispatched units to 1950 LWE in Guilford Twp at Burger King for the building fire. The fire was extinguished by the hood system leaving a smoke condition in the building. Units cleared the scene at 0040.
MOBILE HOME FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Friday Oct 12th at 1715 hrs, units responded to 5400 LWE for a mobile home fire. The fire was contained to an area under the trailer. Units cleared the scene at 1810.

OCTOBER 13th. - On Friday Oct 12th at 1623 hrs, Co 7 responded to 1226 LWE at KFC for reported smoke in the building. Chief 46 discovered a mulch fire on the exterior of the building with extension into the wall. Co 7 apparatus went available at 1650.

OCTOBER 13th. - On Thursday Oct 11th at 1950 hrs, Engine 7-1 and 7-2 responded to 3143 St Andrews Drive in Greene Twp for an inside investigation. Chief 46 held Station 4 and returned the rest. Units were available at 2010.

OCTOBER 13th. - On Thursday Oct 11th at 1615 hrs, personnel returned to yet another rekindle at 2771 Mt Pleasant Road in Greene Twp. Units cleared the scene at 1855.

LAND RESCUE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Wednesday Oct 10th at 1141 hrs, Engine 7-1 responded to 674 Brookens Road in Greene Twp for a land rescue. Personnel found a cat with his head stuck in a hole. The pictures tell all. The cat sure was stuck in a bad way. Engine 7-1 and Squad 7 cleared the scene at 1241.

WORKING BARN FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Tuesday Oct 9th at 1845 hrs, communications dispatched units to a barn fire at 2771 Mt Pleasant Road in Greene Twp box 7-7. Engine 7-2 arrived on scene with a working fire. Sgt 7 assumed command until the arrival of the Deputy Chief. D/C 7 assumed command 7 and had additional units responding establish a water supply from a hydrant on Hafer Road. Personnel worked at the scene many hours. A front end loader from Greene Twp assisted on scene to remove the hay from the barn. Units cleared the scene at 0245.

BACK TO SUNNY LANE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Tuesday Oct 9th at 1618 hrs, Co 7 units were dispatched back to 23 Sunny lane in Guilford Twp for another brush fire. Personnel found a large area involved again. Personnel worked to control and extinguish the fire again. Units cleared the scene at 1748.

BRUSH FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Monday Oct 8th at 1730 hrs, Co 7 units responded to a brush fire at 23 Sunny Lane in Guilford Twp. Personnel found a wooded area off Sunny lane heavily involved. Station 4 with an Engine and Special Unit 44 and ET14 assisted on fire. Units cleared the scene at 1910.

ANOTHER MOUNTAIN FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Monday Oct 8th at 1306 hrs, Engine 7-2 transferred to Adams County Co 27 while they worked a mountain fire on Birch run Road. Engine 7-2 was dispatched at 1455 hrs to respond to the mountain fire from Co 27. Engine 7-2 assisted on the mountain fire until 2355 hrs.
BACK TO THE MOUNTAIN AGAIN
OCTOBER 13th. - On Monday Oct 8th at 0953 hrs, Co 7 was dispatched back to Ridge Road again for the mountain fire. Fire dept personnel spent many hours assisting forestry personnel working to extinguish the fire. units went available at 1253.
BACK TO THE MOUNTAIN
OCTOBER 13th. - On Sunday Oct 7th at 2305 hrs, Engine 7-2 and Brush 7 responded back to Ridge Road in Greene Twp for the mountain fire. Personnel investigated and determined this was at the same location as the last mountain fire and units went available at 2358.
AUTO ACCIDENT
OCTOBER 13th. - On Oct 6th at 1548 hrs, Ambulance 7-8, Squad 7 and Engine 7-2 responded to an auto accident at 2019 LWE in the 7-1 box, Guilford Twp. Units went available at 1618.

BRUSH FIRE
OCTOBER 13th. - On Oct 6th, at 1233 hrs Engine 7-2 responded to Penn State Mont Alto Campus in the 5-05 box area to assist on a brush fire. Engine 7-2 was available at 1253.

"LINE OF DUTY DEATH"
Please keep the family and friends of Adam Cole, a volunteer firefighter from the Buchanan Valley Volunteer Fire Department Adams County Co 27 in your prayers. They are dealing with the loss of Firefighter Cole from Co 27 which occurred on October 4th, 2007 as a result of an auto accident while responding to a mountain fire.

LAND RESCUE
OCTOBER 5th. - While Co 7 and Co 5 units were operating on the mountain fire on Ridge Road in Greene Twp, additional apparatus from both companies responded to a land rescue in Guilford Twp on the Irishtown Plantation Road at 1848. Personnel found a hunter had fallen out of a tree stand in the mountain. Personnel assisted EMS and the removal of the patient out of the mountain. Units cleared at 2048.
MOUNTAIN FIRE
OCTOBER 5th. - On Thursday Oct 4th at 1751 , Brush 7 and Engine 7-2 responded into the 7-5 box on Ridge Road in Greene Twp for a possible mountain fire. D/C 7 requested additional units which brought Brush 5 and ET 5 and several alpha units. Sgt 7 arrived on scene to find approx 3 to 4 acres involved just off the ridge road above Sandy Sod. D/C 7 established command. Additional units were requested, Adams County Co 27, Co 15, Cumberland County Co 52 and a strike team with additional units from Cumberland County. Personnel worked several hours to control and contain the fire. Units cleared the scene at 2151.
